Adrian Breakspear is a Sydney-based GRAMMY nominated and ARIA winning producer, engineer and mixer whose credits include Gang of Youths, Boy and Bear, Delta Goodrem, Ricky Martin and Pharrell.
Adrian began his career in London in 2001 and spent 11 years working in some of London’s most iconic studios, , including Miloco, Strongroom and Abbey Road. In 2012 Adrian moved to Sydney where he now works in-house for Sony Music whilst freelancing with artists across many genres.
In 2017 Adrian won the ‘Producer of the Year’ ARIA Award for his work on Gang of Youths’ sophomore album, ‘Go Farther in Lightness’. Adrian also has two ARIA ‘Engineer of the Year’ nominations, and a Grammy Nomination for his work on Pharrell’s chart-topping album, ‘G I R L’.
Adrian’s production credits include Gang of Youths, High-tails, Taylor Henderson, Castlecomer, and Morgan Joanel, as well as vocal production for The Meeting Tree, Example, The Collective and Jackie Onassis. Adrian is equally at home working with bands as he is arranging a song around an artist.
Adrian’s credits as a tracking engineer include not only bands and vocalists, but also string sections, 15 piece big bands, musical cast recordings and one-room acoustic live sessions.
As well as a multitude of Australian and international independent clients, Adrian has mixed for Boy and Bear, Bad Pony, Dami Im and The Meeting Tree amongst others.
